In March 2018, Clarus Group delivered a day-long training program on audits, inspections, evaluations, and reviews to federal, state, and local inspectors general and senior staff participating in the Certified Inspector General Institute in Jacksonville, Florida, sponsored by the Association of Inspectors General. Participation in the Certified Inspector General Institute is a requirement for the designation of Certified Inspector General awarded by the Association of Inspectors General.

The training delivered by Dan Ahern and Pamela Bloomfield provided participants with an understanding of the professional standards for conducting audits, inspections, evaluations, and reviews as well as practical perspectives on the challenges and opportunities related to supervision, oversight, and leadership of audits, inspections, evaluations, and reviews.

Dan Ahern also provided training in the history of the inspector general function to staff participating in the Certified Inspector General Investigator and Certified Inspector General Auditor Institutes.
