In November 2007, the Massachusetts Department of Education (DOE) issued a District Leadership Evaluation Report on the Gill-Montague Regional School District. After declaring the district an underperforming school district, the DOE appointed a district review team that included Clarus Group to evaluate the leadership capacity of the district.
Clarus Group participated in the review and prepared the report. The report contained a series of findings and recommended that the school district take prompt action to address its short-term and long-term needs for a superintendent, address a persistent issue concerning elementary school configuration and school closings, and develop a plan and budget to meet academic leadership, curriculum, and instruction needs of the district.
